Louis brings pioneering technologies for identifying emerging business and consumer trends, organizational culture, and strategic initiatives to Fortune 500 companies, multi-national corporations, and foreign governments. He writes frequently for publications in the U.S. and abroad on the most innovative individuals and companies. England's BBC-TV, SKY-TV and Canada's CBC-Radio praised him as one of America's new breed of business thought leaders. Recently, J. Walter Thompson Agency named him one of "The 20 Most Creative Minds in America."

Louis' message is clear and impassioned—that the conventional ways of doing business no longer work in the fast-forward, global economy of today. He shows us how to break through old assumptions about competition, planning, and leadership, in order to run a consistently successful business.

Louis is a coauthor for Near Bridge's latest book, The Consistent Consumer: Predicting Future Behavior Through Lasting Values (Chicago: Dearborn Trade Publishing, May, 2005) and is the author of TrendSmart: The 21 Trends That Will Change the Way You Do Business (Chicago: Sourcebooks, 2004), which pinpoints business trends affecting leaders/managers, consumers and employees. His previous book , Tilt!: Irreverent Lessons For Leading Innovation In The New Economy (Oxford, UK: Capstone/Wiley, 1999), was a Top 10 Business Book for 1999 by Management General.

He is also co-author of the New York Times best seller, If it ain't broke. . . BREAK IT!: Unconventional Wisdom for a Changing Business World (Warner Books, 1992) which has been widely acclaimed by reviewers such as Tom Peters, Steven Covey, and Paul Hawken, professional coaches Pat Riley and Tony La Russa, and CEOs of Fortune 500 companies such as Hewlett-Packard and Coca Cola. It was the second best-selling business book of 1992, with a Spanish and Chinese edition. Excerpts from the book have been translated into 17 languages and 28 million copies have been distributed.

Louis is listed in several national and international Who's Who editions, has twice received awards from the National Endowment for the Arts for his writing, and was the editor of the prestigious American Trend Report. He has hosted a monthly live online chat on WorldWithoutBorders.com on cutting-edge business topics. A former professional baseball prospect, Louis played on the over-40 MSBL World Series Championship team of 2002.
