Weiss has more than 25 years' experience in the identification and analysis of
consumer and business trends for America's leading corporations. Steve's
knowledge and experience have made him an advisor to organizations such as
General Foods, Aramark, Ketchum Communications, the FoodService Symposium and
the California Department of Agriculture. He currently writes a popular monthly
marketing column for QSR Magazine.
Steve is a thought-provoking speaker and thought-leader who frequently addresses
audiences on emerging trends and research insights. Among clients he has
recently addressed include: Chipotle Mexican Grill; the National Association of
Convenience Stores; the QSR Magazine DineAmerica Conference; the Foodservice &
Packaging Institute, and the United States Potato Board.
Leveraging his deep insight into marketing and consumer values and
spending
behaviors, Steve has created and developed promotional partnerships and
major
national campaigns for the foodservice and hospitality industries. His
quantitative
studies include the annual analysis of the Restaurants and Institutions
Menu Census,
which polls 10,000 restaurants annually to track changes in consumer
tastes and
demand.

Steve is a magna cum laude graduate of Binghamton University and an
honors
graduate of the Culinary Institute of America. He served as the
consulting editor for
Restaurants & Institutions Magazine and was the recipient of the
prestigious Jesse
H. Neal Editorial Achievement Award for editorial excellence from the
American
Business Press.
Steve interests include racquetball, cooking, and the study of
cultural history. He
